MacBook: 33.1 Mb/s download, "couldn't finish" uploadīe noted we made this time the test almost at the same time. Ipad: 9.02 Mb/s download, 20.0 Mb/s upload *Ipad, after re-established connection for second time using Wifi Settings method. **Third random Internet test on Macbook:**Ĥ4.1 Mb/s download, 53.6 Mb/s upload, latency 6ms When a second test is made, no test is successful, probably, again connection lost.įirst conclusions: iPad internet connection is unstable. > Results are really poor on iPad: 0.44 Mb/s Down, 2.82 Mb/s up. Inmediately after internet connection is re-established, we again make a test from google test speed: Be noted that after a while into Wifi settings screen, internet connection re-established. In Wifi Settings from iPad: is detected that there's not internet connection. Macbook internet connection still stable, but I think reduce it performance. Ipad internet connection drops and literally not working, curious, mouse and keyboard still working. Same use of internet connection resources. MacBook: 27.8 Mb/s download, 37.3 Mb/s upload, latency 3ms Ipad: No internet connection (even when is actually connected to the network) MacBook: 30.1 Mb/s download, 34.4 Mb/s uploadīe noted, Im using actually some of my internet connection bandwidth Ipad: 9.61 Mb/s download, 5.33 Mb/s upload Using 3 Features available ("Allow cursor and Keyboard on any close device", "Move cursor until cross the screen border", "Connect automatically to any close device") | Teorically 300 Mb/s - Real +- 260-280 Mb/s Connection| 2,4G Connected (but 5G available) *My environment is:*MacBook Air 2020 and Ipad (8th Generation) I will keep you notice about this really nice feature. I need to check and workaround.īUT, be sure is not about being in different network only, there's more factors out there. Well we have to be aware that is in beta stage, but these problems are pretty obvious.Īnyway, I have to check if maybe unchecking some additional options like, auto connect when the device is near from my MacBook, it could solve my issues. Then, duplicate screen option which is also available, is getting problems to even show videos in my MacBook main screen, video gets off. Well, the thing is, my iPad continuously disconnect from the Wifi Network, slow connections but the worst thing is that this issues are also affecting to my Mac wifi connection, doing some strange things like, no auto load video in chrome but Im pretty sure is affecting in other areas too. This was my first guess, but really I couldn't see that much, because there no much information when I get into my router Management, there's no logs to check what is happening in the real time in my network so. maybe could be something about the router which maybe is detecting some over connections protocols, like simultaneous connections every time which could end up to block my iPad connection to that Wifi network. I was spending time trying to solve this problem. I had actually a situation which I couldn't connect my iPad with this network, it said that was impossible to connect to that network. Seems, that my Wifi connection on iPad with the network 2,4G, drops and stops every time. Thing is, I don't think this is because they are on different networks, its true, performance get affected somehow, when they are in different frequencies, but mostly (When different frequencies) I see this slow performance when I move the mouse which it has some laggy. That from the beginning, I was using same Wifi Network (2,4G), and well at first everything was right, but after a while, maybe 10-15 minutes, starting to have Wifi problems at least on iPad, the MacBook I was't sure, but I could see some unexpected behaviors. Maybe this could be the problem, I'm just relatively new on this feature!!Īnyway, thing is. I decided to tick all the feature from Universal Control, there are 3 of them. I have a MacBook Air 2020 and Ipad (8th Generation).
